The Department of Voice Education started teaching its first students in the 2020/2021 academic year by including them within the State Conservatory. Department of Voice Education, which is a department that requires a conservative education approach with small study groups in a special field, rather than a general education as in other departments of the State Conservatory; It continues its work in line with the aim of raising individuals who have all the equipment required by contemporary civilization, are specialized in the field of vocal performance, and have national artist identity and consciousness.
Within its structure; Our department, which has two departments structured under the name of Turkish Folk Music and Turkish Art Music, has a student quota of 13 for the Turkish Folk Music department and 12 students for the Turkish Art Music department.
Both departments within the Department of Voice Education prioritize providing students with all aspects - scientific and artistic - of the pragmatic and theoretical contents of Turkish music that require special study, such as form, theory, genre, variety, style and attitude. Students and graduates of the Department of Voice Education; will be able to develop practical training in the fields of voice, repertoire, choir and hearing within these departments; It has the infrastructure to stage artistic performances in a traditional way, through the vocal instrument, in both fields of Turkish music, and to exhibit our musical art on all national and international platforms in the continuation of these artistic studies and training
Our graduates can be employed as "sound artists" in TRT Radios, Ministry of Culture General Directorate of Fine Arts Ensembles and Choirs. Another priority of our department will be to direct department graduates to academic careers.
